Every post published on your Facebook news feed can be moderated by users themselves. Any content deemed inappropriate can be flagged and reported to the Facebook team.
The question is whether Facebook employs actual people for moderation or relies solely on automated systems. The answer is “yes and no” to both approaches.
A dedicated moderation team reviews reported content. Notably, many (possibly all) moderators are outsourced to countries including the Philippines and India. A report suggests these workers may earn approximately US$1 per hour, though this figure may be exaggerated based on my experience with virtual assistants.
