I’m launching an “Answered by Experts” series, starting with Dani Revell to address blogging questions relevant to New Zealand audiences.
Who is Dani Revell?
Danika Revell, originally from Australia, discovered blogging while waiting in line for a Hanson concert in London. After relocating to New Zealand, she recognised a gap in the local blogging community and founded the NZ Blog Collective, described as “an online community for bloggers, by bloggers.”
Her subsequent ventures include:
- We Are Anthology — a blogging and influencer agency connecting bloggers with brands
- Collaboration with the NZ Bloggers Network to support local creators
She advocates for expanded opportunities, stating: “The more support and opportunities for bloggers in New Zealand the better.”
The Interview
The discussion addressed six key topics:
- Current state of the NZ blogosphere
- Blogger category breakdown (fashion, beauty, food, etc.)
- Commercial collaboration between brands and bloggers
- Challenges in brand-blogger partnerships
- Monetisation strategies for established bloggers
- Integration of social media and blogging
